heya @dull kiln! There are conditions for it, but whether your users meet these conditions are not really within your control

Thanks for the response Alex, any suggestions for how we can make the transition from the standard to express accounts easier? Have about 300 accounts to migrate. Going to be a nightmare calling up each one and pushing them thru it. Unfortunately, the vast majority of our clients are not great with anything digital

hrm, out of curiosity, why the sudden decision to migrate to Express?

We are partnering up with Stripe and have a new custom fee structure in place, moving to express was required for that

honestly, there isn't a great solution here. It's pretty much about your communication / migration strategy at this point.
My suggestion is to draft out a comms email, to let users know that you would need them to migrate, then send out these emails incrementally - like maybe 50 users at a time. Make sure your support is briefed on how to walk users through the onboarding process. And also ensure that you have an FAQ page for common questions and issues.

Cheers for the suggestions. That's more or less what I had in mind + follow-up calls with everyone. I guess it is what it is, only need to get it done once. One last question, with express accounts, once the account is created, is it possible to update all the account KYC info thru the API? Or is it only limited to few things like business name, etc.

for Express accounts, you won't have access to the connected account's KYC information (just like Standard). The information is something which your connected account user will fill up via their Dashboard / onboarding form. It's not something which you can update via the API.
