I think so, but I would recommend to explicitly pass proration_behavior=none each time updating. You would want to control the proration behavior while updating a Subscription, regardless of how it is created

Yes, that's the second point I will like to discuss. If I set up a cancellation of a subscription 5 months ahead, with prorations enabled, when would the prorations take place? Immediately or 5 months ahead?

You mean the Subscription billing cycle is 5 months ahead, but you cancel it immediately?

In that case, the proration will be an amount we credit to the Customer balance according to the their unused time, and it will be applied immediately for them to use
