Hello! Do you have any more specifics? Are you trying to immediately give them a few extra months? Add on a few extra months to the end?

hi @red furnace sorry for not being clear, i want to add on a few extra months to the end

Gotcha! So there are a few different ways to do this

#

At the time when you want the subscription to transition a "free" period you can update it to be on a trial, change the Subscription to be on a $0 price, or you can add a discount code that will give them 100% for a set period of time

#

If you want to schedule this update in advance, you 'd have to do so with a Subscription Schedule

Yes, i would like to schedule this update in advance

#

i am not very much aware of "Subscription Schedule"

#

can you please elaborate a bit more on it

I can definitely give more detail on Subscription Schedules! I'd suggest you start by reading this: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/subscription-schedules

Subscription schedules allow you to "schedule" updates/changes to Subscription that you want to happen at specific times in the future. For your specific example, you'd first want to generate a Schedule from an existing subscription (see https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/subscription-schedules/use-cases#existing-subscription), update the end date of the current phase to be when you want the free period to start, and then add an additional phase where you can set phases.trial or phases.coupon (see https://stripe.com/docs/api/subscription_schedules/update#update_subscription_schedule-phases-coupon) depending on how you want to give them the free period
