We don't show line item metadata in the Dashboard

What's blocking you exactly, where are you missing metadata? On the resulting line item on the invoice in the upcoming endpoint?

I think so. When I click on a customer's subscription, under the "Upcoming invoice" section there are several InvoiceItems I have added via API. When I click on view price details for one of the InvoiceItems I see no metadata.

It's just the Dashboard, we don't really show deep detailed metadata per line item, this is more for your own code to consume

What would you suggest when creating an InvoiceItem to link an ID to my DB for that item?

metadata is perfect, just it won't appear in the Dashboard!
