If all the Terminal readers are on the same WiFi network they should all be in the same Location.

In our case we're choosing the location based on the user that's using our app. But periodically they setup at different locations

that makes sense though -- was just curious. We'll probably just let them have a dropdown for locations in the case where they need to be at a different location

That's not really how Terminal is designed to work. A Terminal reader's Location needs to be accurate for it to work correctly.

our terminals stay in the same location, it's the people using them that changes location
