@stable helm you can't today. The Stripe Tax product only works with Checkout, Billing or Invoicing.
We don't have a direct path outside of this

Ok thank you! I also had a second question. I was hoping to use the customer.source.expiring event to let me know if a customer's card is going to expire. What would prompt Stripe to send that?

We don't really send it for newer integrations so you should ignore. It's legacy and was sent when a card was set to expired (like the month of the expiry)

but we have automatic updates with the bank now, we also can send automated emails for you if you want (configured in the Dashboard)

Ahh I see it now. So by turning on the option to send emails about expiring cards, that would automatically send the customer an email if their card is going to expire.
