I think this is because of some weird configuration issue with your account - I would suggest writing into support (https://support.stripe.com/contact) to have them check on your wechat setup and correct it if needed

Sorry - "weird setup" was a bit vague. To be more specific, I believe that by default canadian business can accept CAN with wechat pay but to also accept USD there may be some additional steps required that we (Stripe) would need to setup for you

Test mode often does not have the same restrictions as live mode. Again, I think this is something that we do support, but we just need to do one additional thing to enable it on your account
