1/ is expected, it's the only way to confirm the iDEAL payment successfully and access the bank account details so that future charges work

2/ not correct, you charge the first payment and then future invoices are charged via SEPA Debit

alright will get it a try and come back with progress, we tried that method last year but we came across a bug on stripe that was reported back then
