@grizzled cipher so yeah you can use Separate Charges and Transfers with Subs but I don't think you can modify the Invoice's PaymentIntents with transfer_group. Have you tried? does it work? PaymentIntents created by Invoices are limited in how they can be modified so I wouldn't be surprised if you cannot update that field.

apply a custom application_fee to said invoice. I'm wondering what the time period between this invoice being generated and the customer being automatically billed is?
for any recurring Invoice, it is 1 hr from when Invoice is created to when it is finalized and a charge attempt is made
