Hello! There are a lot of things you can do to secure your site beyond enabling SSL/TLS/HTTPS. Talking about all of your options is beyond the scope of this chat, but this might be a good place for you to start: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/Securing_your_site
We also have security docs specific to Stripe here: https://stripe.com/docs/security
Thank you so much! I have one other question you may be able to help with. Is it necessary to have a paid SSL for a woocommerce site?
No, you can use Let's Encrypt and it will work just fine. ๐
Thank you! is a paid one only good if something happens where your site has a data breach?
It depends on what you're paying for beyond the certificate itself, but generally no, that's not how it works.
ok but using a payment gateway like stripe, would that take liability away from me if something were to happen where my customers info was stolen?
Only if you pay for such a thing explicitly. It has nothing to do with the TLS certificate itself.
It sounds like you're talking about some kind of liability protection or insurance, which would be separate from the certificate itself.
Ok thank you for explaining, I really appreciate your help! ๐
