If you're saving the payment method to a platform customer, then you're really just using it at the platform level and the connected account configuration isn't needed
Are you using tokens or payment methods?
We're using tokens/sources api for things right now
OK and is some part of your flow not working like you expect, or just asking about payment request button geerally?
I'd encourage you to set it up in test mode, where the flows should work the same way
to make sure everything behaves as you expect it to
