Hi, "leave the subscription as-is" simple mean doesn't touch the Subscription status. If it is past_due then it should stays on that status
Great, so what about the invoices?
When the billing cycle refreshes, will there be new invoices?
They will be generated. There could be a setting to tell Subscription stop generating it, let me find it
@zealous tendon this is somewhat covered in https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/overview
For unpaid subscriptions, the latest invoice remains open but payments arenβt attempted. The subscription continues to generate invoices each billing cycle and remains in draft state. To reactivate the subscription, you need to:
....
If you leave the subscription in place, the most recent unpaid invoice remains open, new invoices are generated, and payments on new invoices are attempted. Use this behavior if you want to continue attempts to bill your customers every month, even when previous invoice payments have failed.
Thank you Alex. π
I have another query for keeping the subscription in unpaid status. Will the generated invoices try to attempt to charge?
I'm leaving for lunch. I'll reply to you back in a while. Sorry π
And one qustion how can one get money out if they dont have old card
@supple roost Sorry, I don't think I am good enough to answer you
@lofty river , @somber axle
They will be generated. There could be a setting to tell Subscription stop generating it, let me find it
Was there a setting to stop generating new invoices when we set leave the subscription as-is after all the retires failed?
@zealous tendon there's no such option/setting afaik
Oh, okay. No problem. Thank you so much for replying. That is all for now π
if you want it to stop generating invoices, then it would make sense for you to set the subscription to unpaid
Actually, it won't stop generating invoices if it is unpaid
Just that those will not be attempted to charge, right?
ah yep, you're right
No worries. I think I will be able to cook something on my end for this. Thanks again π
you're welcome! π
