To test apple pay you need to have a real card set up in your apple pay wallet. With Stripe test mode payments, no actual payment will be collected.
You can also check for a truthy response and proceed with mounting the payment request button
I used a console.log and am getting a null back as of now
Ok that indicates that something is set up right, either with your test card or your page configuration
If you visit this docs page, do you see a working apple pay button?
yes I do and I'm able to go through the entire process
We have our domain registered on the stripe dashboard and the file is in place correctly. Could it be that our site is under a VPN? We made the file public but site is not
Can you share a link to you page where apple pay should appear that i can test myself?
It's under a VPN so you wouldnt be able to see it
Another dev had created a function to append the API keys to include the new prefix. Would that work or are they all new API Keys? or would that matter in this instance
Ah yes, that might have an effect here, to be honest i'm not sure how that would behave. Does it work in your production environment without the VPN?
Have not tried that. We dont push to prod until it is tested and all.
seems like it worked on our Clearent end just fine on test environments
I'm not sure what that is
I'd suggest getting an environment enabled outside the VPN to confirm and if needed allow us to debug what might be happening
Clearent is another payment merchant we are using alongside Stripe. Do you know if we can have 1 Apple Pay verification file for 2 merchants?
yes, all depends on where the verification file is hosted and which domain is added to the Stripe accounts
