Hey there 👋 that's a really good test case, but we don't have a test card that emulates that scenario.

Any suggestion on how we could reproduce this scenario? Or is it possible to add a request for a test card for this case?

Hm, I'm not sure if the popup for our test cards will time out or not. I'm going to try testing this on the side.
I've got some other threads to start and get caught up on, but once I do I'll see if I can determine how a timeout manifests and if it will ultimately be the same as any other error you'd receive.

Just wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about this, my popup is still sitting in another window waiting to see if it'll timeout.

Thank you so much for your patience. My timeout testing did not go well (turns out the expiration timeframe set was 16 years away 😱).

I dug into a scenario where I recently saw a timeout from a 3DS authentication. In that case the PaymentIntent received an authentication failure error message, that wasn't specific to a timeout, and went into a requires_payment_method state. So if you build a flow to handle authentication failures then I believe that will also catch timeout scenarios.
