@steep mason it shouldn't matter that we stop using the IP to you right? It's still ours so I'm not sure I grasp that part of your question

for the other one, we won't use the new IP for seven days after announcing it, we might add the IP early (so that if you load the list you see it) but we wouldn't use the new IP without that 7 days announcement

we're thinking of automating retrieval of the the whitelist (https://stripe.com/files/ips/ips_webhooks.json). i'm thinking once a day retrieval would be good enough

we rarely change those lists. Though I guess now that I say that I'm sure we will soon 😹

we have more IPs than what we use so that we can get new IPs used quickly

we usually add new IPs when we add new regions (for example when we added servers in India for some regulations)
