Neither my devs nor I can get Apple pay to appear on Checkout. None of us use Apple Pay ourselves so I imagine that is what is causing the confusion. Google Pay just works. Apple Pay seems to be really mysterious.
Hello, can you link me to the docs you are looking at? For checkout I don't think you need the well known file, that doc may be for the Payment Request button
I have looked over the last week at every single Stripe Apple Pay doc
Can they see Apple Pay on this page? https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button
It is for a different product, but if they can see Apple Pay there then it is a site configuration issue, if they cannot it is an Apple Pay wallet configuration issue
I am confused. Are you asking me
"If you navigate to that URL, do you see a black button with the Apple Pay symbol?"
At the top of the page yes
hold on. I am on Chrome. I have many Stripe Accounts. I do see a warning that says "Either your browser does not support the Payment Request API, or you do not have a saved payment method. To try out the Payment Request Button live demo, switch to one of the supported browsers below, and make sure you have a saved payment method."
But again we are using Stripe Checkout. Not Elements.
*On Safari I see the same.
OK, I need to save a payment method in the Safari browser? I don't use Safari nor do I save credit cards in Chrome.
Apple Pay does not work in Chrome
So again can you try that page that I sent, but in Safari?
OK, I think we have to do nothing but thought we had to do a million things like use the Stripe::AppleDomain::API to verify domains for Connected accounts. We got a ton of really confusing instructions from Stripe support. ๐ฆ
OK, that is helpful. No. I see the small Apple Pay logo on the bottom. And an error on top. ๐
No, that is fine. I thought this was a whole thing. I think I just have to pretend to be an Apple Pay user myself and set up this. OK, the problem was that it was too easy! OK. I will try that.
I went through the whole process of registering as an Apple Developer and verifying domains etc etc etc. Ok. ๐
Yes, apologies for the confusion there. Checkout should always do this for itself. The Apple Developer registration is for a different integration
