Hi
I was exploring our Stripe API docs to see if this customer name could be customised, it seems this is not something you can add to the Billing information customer portal, these are the current fields we support that can be customised: https://stripe.com/docs/api/customer_portal/configurations/create
Ok. Thank you, I mean to ask you that, is there any possibility of adding metadata information created at the time of subscription
I have gone through the link you have given. I think there are no child parameters taken into consideration for display from subscription, please
The real problem coming up when there are multiple subscriptions for a customer with the same price unable to decide which subscription he would like to stop.
Yes, you are correct, you can add metadata information within the subscription object.
I was trying out having a customer subscribed into different product and on the same product, the name among the billing history is the name of the subscription.
Different product
Same product
I was wondering if it is the same subscription the customer is being charged on, discontinuing a duplicated subscription should be okay?
You got Business Plan for both, I want the account holder's name in place of Business Plan. In my case for the same plan, there are different account holders.. So, I need to give them names so that the customer cancels correct one
I see, this Customer Portal view only displays the subscriptions for one specific customer. If you would like to view the different customers with the specific subscriptions, this is the page to view in detail https://dashboard.stripe.com/subscriptions
Sorry, I think you got it wrong.
I want for a specific customer, but he has subscriptions to different accounts
All are different Account holders
they're not "account holders" in Stripe's system
that's a concept you must have via metadata I suppose?
to us, it is one Customer object, with multiple Subscriptions.
the portal shows the name of the Product that each Subscription is using , that's what "Donation" is in those screenshots.
you can't customise this no. Potentially you could create a specific Product with a specific name(like Donation - Tom ) and use those with each Subscription but it's not a great solution. I'm afraid there just isn't a good answer here at the moment with how the customer portal works today, unless you build your own subscription management portal unfortunately
if you're looking at a CustomerPortal session, then it's all the same cus_xxx Customer object in Stripe
we have no concept of each subscription being a different user
In your terms, simply showing some subscription data for specific customer
in his customer portal
sure I completely understand what you want(that the portal would support showing some specific metadata of the subscription, in your case your username)
it makes complete sense and is a great feature request
unfortunately it just doesn't exist today so there's no good answer I can give you.
Yes, you got it correctly.
Ok. Are you guys planning to add in the near future? If so, could you please mail me/us regarding this feature
it doesn't really work that way and you shouldn't post your email address on a public channel like this
no plans I can share publicly anyway, you can write to https://support.stripe.com/email to raise the feature request!
