@gritty jay as the docs say, 7 days is the maximum you can hold funds on the card.

An alternative is to instead hold the money and only pay it out to the service provider later, using manual payouts with Connect. (https://stripe.com/docs/connect/manual-payouts , see notes on "escrow").
