@sweet raft it can mean the customer is abandoning or opting not to pay yes, hard to say. Do you have an example PaymentIntent pi_xxx where this happens?

there's nothing really on our side except SOFORT telling us the customer aborted the transaction
if the customers are telling you they are definitely authenticating and have screenshots/videos of doing it or so one, then you could write to https://support.stripe.com/email and we can try to dig into what might be happening.
