Thx. I received an email from woocommerce that I needed to change my paypal plugin. I had paypal express before. I downloaded it into my site & tried to follow their directions as to what to do next.
It said I needed to activate stripe. I put in my company EIN then it wanted my personal social secuirty number. No No No No, so just left. I Never Never Nevr use my scoial security numberas an ID with any one except IRS to protect my security. So how do I get off stripe and do I need strip at all.

Gotcha - so from my understanding we ask for this information for regulatory reasons (https://support.stripe.com/questions/date-of-birth-and-social-security-number-(ssn)-requirement-for-us-stripe-accounts ). If you have any more questions about that I'd suggest asking at https://support.stripe.com/contact.
In terms of whether you need Stripe at all, that's a better question for Woocommerce. They have a number of different plugins, and they may have some that wouldn't require stripe
