Yes you should still connect them with the account links

#

And the other accounts you have been connecting have been Standard accounts I assume?

This is our first time using stripe

slim heath
#

Understood, I wasn't sure what the connections to your account looked like already.

#

But yes you will need to go through the full onboarding process, any questions on how to do that at the moment?

Correct, you can skip 2.1 because they already have their account

chilly gulch
#

You can not connect to their existing accoun

#

we usually recommend creating a brand new account just for your platform for this business

rough fable
#

What are the differences in those two approaches?

chilly gulch
#

It's not really about differences, it's just the right way to do this. Create a brand new account for them so that it's connected to your platform and has all your transactions. The end user will have 2 separate Stripe accounts in that world

rough fable
#

Oh so they will log into a different account then and see all the transactions on that account.

chilly gulch
#

yes, though they can share the email and see 2 accounts in the Dashboard

rough fable
#

Also can you explain why that would be the right way

#

I will have to communicate that to my client.

chilly gulch
#

Because that's just how it works. You can not connect a Stripe account to multiple platforms nowadays, and so it's best to have an account per platform

#

@rough fable did that make sense?
