Let me make sure I'm understanding your question - you have an invoice where the amount due is something small like $0.25 which is below our minimum charge amount. Are you asking at what point does that $0.25 get added to the customer balance?

My use case is a downgrade scenario.

Ex: Customer downgrades from $100/mo to $20/mo.

If Invoice Items are generated from that, it gets invoiced at the end of the billing cycle, right?

So the next invoice would result in a -$80 item and a $20 item... resulting in -$60 remaining, right?

I'm wondering what happens to that -$60 remaining.

So the -$60 goes on to the customer balance as soon as that invoice is finalized (which happens immediately because the invoice amount if $0, so it is finalized and paid immediately)
