@open breach sure, you can for the most part just refund the Terminal payment through your Stripe dashboard online, you don't need the customer to be there.
The exception is if you're in Canada using Interac, those have to be refunded directly to the card in-person.

Hi, I wanted to know if the stripe could actually do it themselves, so they login to their online bookings, click cancel which triggers a automatic refund.

at the moment when they prepay for a treatment using our online system and press cancel the refund is automatically sent as they paid online.

who is "the stripe"? But it's the merchant (the Stripe user) who controls who they refund and when.
