I actually found the chat support online, so waiting to see if they can help me.

I am using OSI affiliate and they want me to include a tracking code into the confirmation page. Typically they want it in a thank you page on the website, but i don't have a website yet and I've been using the direct payment link

so i wanted to figure out a way to add the tracking to the confirmation page.

The confirmation page can a URL on your end and in that case you control the entire page/code

#

you can't add HTML in the custom message/page hosted by Stripe but we can send them back to your website where you can do what you want

Checkout and Connect are completely separate and different product

#

PaymentLinks (the thing you are referring to) are a version of Checkout for "no code users". You configure a "link" in the Dashboard and then share that link to anyone to pay you

and we don't really have a Slack integration for it, not sure what you'd want as a Slack integration

Do you provide the data variations for the order total, order id, or transaction id, and customer email?

https://stripe.com/docs/payments/payment-links#handle-fulfillment-with-the-stripe-api is the doc that sends you to https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout/fulfill-orders#fulfill

that explains how to look at the underlying Checkout Session (which the payment link creates) and see what's in it (amount, who paid, what customer info you got, what line items were in it, etc.)

Following instructions here to add the code but the layout is different

"get checkout code" is not listed in product page so this might be out dated

It says stripe payment page is "prebuilt, hosted payment page" so i assume I won't be able to use the tracking code since i can't customize or add code

so the only option is to use an api?
