I have a Verifone and the WisePOS E
In your integration, will you ever need to connect Tablet B to Reader A and Table A to Reader b?
Yes most likely
Gotcha, then your best option is to build this into your UI so that you can select which reader you want to connect to
That's what I was thinking. Can I do that via the Reader ID or should I create 2 separate location and do it by location ID. Example 123 Fake street, Reader A, PA 18976... 123 Fake street, Reader B, PA 18976
I can seem to find connecting multiple readers by Reader ID in the docs
I'd recommend you do it by Reader ID and have both readers be on the same location. Here's the general flow:
- Both readers are in location X
- The tablet discovers all readers at location X
- Have your UI display all the discovered readers
- Connect to the selected reader
I would also suggest using the fail_if_in_use parameter that's talked about a bit in our documentation (https://stripe.com/docs/terminal/readers/connecting/bbpos-wisepos-e#connect-reader) so that you don't connect to a reader if it's already in use
Register your BBPOS WisePOS E reader and connect your application over the internet
