1/ Do you definitely need an entirely new Subscription? if so yes, you need to go through Checkout again mostly, since the customer has to pay the upfront invoice for that new Sub. Or maybe you mean just adding a new item to their existing subscription(https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/multiple-products) in which case that can be done in other ways without necessarily needing the customer to do/pay anything; so important to get that clear
