great thank you
Ah, here it is. The answer on this question should help you out: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/68946649/why-does-google-analytics-attribute-all-success-page-completions-to-stripe-check
If you have questions about that let me know!
this page is accounting for analytics already tracking payments. Does analytics automatically track stripe payments somehow?
our website redirects to https://checkout.stripe.com/ to complete checkout for the customer so I don't think our analytics tracks it
Sorry, not sure I understand your question. What exactly do you want to track that isn't possible with the method outlined in the Stack Overflow answer?
that article doesn't explain how to track stripe payments on analytics
Generally people track the click that leads people to Checkout, which tells you how many people are going to Checkout, then they also keep track of how many people land on the success_url page (which you set on the Checkout Session) to see how many of those people paid.
Is that what you're asking about, or something else?
I think that is what I am asking. I know I can track them landing on our thank you page but I was kind of hoping you guys would have a more comprehensive integration
We don't have any direct integration with Google Analytics, but it is something we're looking into. For now I think you would need to consult Google's documentation for how to do this. I'm not very familiar with Google Analytics, but maybe this is a good place to start? https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1191180?hl=en&ref_topic=1191164#zippy=%2Cin-this-article
