Thank you for your patience, yes metadata would be the way to store that information on our side with that call. Depending on what you are doing you may also be able to look this info up based on the Charge or PI

In what capacity do you need the info? I'm not too familiar with refunds, is this needed to put that info in elsewhere in Stripe or is this for other things you work with?

Some of our card providers have an extra charge because the refunds do not contains AVS, street + zip. So I don't specifically need the information because I already have it stored. I believe it's a matter of sending the information within the stripe refunds API. Metadata seems like a good way to store it, but I'm guessing that metadata is never sent to the card provider.

Otherwise, the charge is also sent within the Refund API call. It could be that the charge information is sent to the card provider?

Do you have any more detail on how the card providers giving you took this extra charge?

I'm consulting colleagues on this, it looks like you will be better served opening a support ticket about this. I just want to make sure I have the best info I can to direct you on opening it and what information will get you the best help through that channel

Hey I haven't heard back and am stepping away for a bit though another Stripe will be here or in #dev-help if you have any further questions.

Like I said, this is something to open a support ticket about. Please write in, detailing that you are seeing these extra charged from the card providers on these refunds because of this missing info. Provide as much context as you can, include the IDs of the related Charges, Refunds, or BalanceTransactions that you have seen this for as well as any details and screenshots of how you were notified of it.
