@mortal holly hi! can you describe in more detail what you're trying to do? But in general most of our Tax products only work with Checkout/Invoices at the moment and not raw PaymentIntents.

yep that's the one! As I said, those tax products only work with our hosted surfaces like Checkout and Invoices/Subscriptions

so I'm afraid the best option here would be to use Checkout in your integration

I don't think we simulate anything about 1099ks in test mode

I don't know much about that part in general as it's not really an API topic, but https://support.stripe.com/email would know more
