Yes, I singed up for stripe tax and did the over all configuration first. I seem to not be able to figure out how to allow the taxes to collect automatically

okay, sorry Stripe Tax and PaymentLinks are both a bit new and I know ~nothing about the Dashboard flows.

Can you share where you configured automatic tax calculation for payment links in the Dashboard?

When you create the PaymentLink itself, did you configure tax creation?

I created the prodduct first, then the tax configuration

Then i created the payment link

you should never have to create tax rates yourself for automatic tax calculation

sorry I know it's a lot and you're likely just getting started with the most basic things as a net new user and it's a lot to learn at once
