so I can put "delay days" to 0?

hollow ocean
#

Generally no. You can pass in minimum to set it to the lowest available number based on the connected account's country.

pallid marlin
#

so the payout speed is delay time?

hollow ocean
#

It's the amount of time it takes for funds to be available to payout, yeah.

pallid marlin
#

so if they delay time is 7 days and payout interval is set to daily.
Then it will take ( 7 + normal transaction time)
and normal transactions take about 2-3 business days.
That means the merchant will receive the payment after 9-10 days from the day the transaction was made?

hollow ocean
#

In the situation you describe, yes.

pallid marlin
#

there was a page where "delay time" for each country was written. I can't find it anymore

hollow ocean
#

Which delay time are you talking about exactly?

#

Was it for a specific type of payment method?

pallid marlin
#

7 day rolling basis

hollow ocean
#

Yeah, that's what we've been talking about above, right?

pallid marlin
#

okay they changed the docs a bit. sometime ago the wordings were different.
payout speed = delay time = time it takes for the funds to be available

#

1 more question. Why can't i change the payout schedule settings from the dashboard anymore? In old version we were able to change it from dashboard. that it from daily to weekly

hollow ocean
#

I don't think we removed that, but let me check...

#

Yeah, it's still available in the Dashboard. Go to a connected account, click on the ••• button on the right, choose Edit payout schedule and you can change it there.

pallid marlin
#

test mode

hollow ocean
#

Wrong ••• button. 🙂

#

You want the one below that one.

#

The one next to the Send funds button.

pallid marlin
#

oh got it thank you 🙂

#

really miss the old UIs

hollow ocean
#

Ah, sorry the new design isn't working well for you. All the same functionality should still be there, some of it just moved a bit.

#

If there's something else that worked before but you can't find now I'd be happy to help you locate it. 🙂

pallid marlin
#

for now it's fine. thank you 🙂

#

I think you guys need to bring back the old doc. Because the delay time described here are after someone is eligible.
https://stripe.com/docs/payouts

The default delay time is not visible on website anymore

#

There was a page in past which shows default delay time for each country such as US = 7 days

hollow ocean
#

Are you talking about the initial delay time when the account is first created?

pallid marlin
#

No I am talking about normal delay time for each transaction. I mean the time it takes for the funds to be available in the dashboard after which the payout can be made

hollow ocean
#

That varies depending on the payment method used. Which payment method/scenario are you wondering about?

pallid marlin
#

These delay times represent countries according the old docs i think.
7 days was for specific countries and high risk countries have more

hollow ocean
pallid marlin
#

so all these payout speeds = delay time
but these payout speeds are only when you are eligible for accelerated payouts

#

The old docs/list was displaying the delay times when you are not eligible. Which we are not yet.

hollow ocean
#

You will remain at the starting 7 calendar day payout speed until you meet the eligibility criteria.

#

Is that the info you're looking for?

pallid marlin
#

okay i got it. So Australia is 2 days delay with eligibility and 7 days without?

#

sorry if i am confusing 😆

hollow ocean
#

I believe so, but honestly I'm not 100% sure as you've talked about a lot of different delays and timings. 😅 Have you reached out to support about this? They're better at payout timing questions than we are here: https://support.stripe.com/contact/email

pallid marlin
#

But Australia is not a part of Europe and Canada. So we can't be eligible for accelerated speed thus it should be 7 days 😆

#

No worries. I will contact them to clarify. Thank you

#

What if I top up stripe and do payouts to people manually via api?

#

how long will it take?
