If the postal code field is shown and the country of the BIN uses postal codes, it's validated. You can't disable the validation while still showing the field.

So will stripe automatically not require a postal code in cases where the country doesn't use postal codes? We had a user from Hong Kong try to sign up, and they said that they were blocking on the zip code input field.

They might be using a card with a BIN that is from another country.

Sure thing! If they're definitely using a Hong Kong card, I'd suggest getting the request ID from your developer logs if you can find it. That would tie the error to a specific BIN.
