@candid topaz so there are 2 ways for a customer to get their money back. The most common one is that you refund them: https://stripe.com/docs/refunds
So you're the one that decides to send them their money back

Otherwise, they can go to their bank and dispute the payment. For example because you didn't deliver the expected product. Or maybe it was a fraudulent charge. In that case, the bank requests the money from you upfront but then you can fight that dispute and provide evidence that it's not legit and you delivered the service/product etc.
