does it matter what type of connected account I use in that case ? Is the type used for creating the connected account solely for the onboarding process.. and not relevant to the platform account type of an existing account ?

I create an account in my stripe ... and set the type as 'EXPRESS'. I send the link to a vendor who already has a stripe account. Does the type on the connected account account have anything to do with the platform account I am trying to connect to other than the onboarding experience.
