@fading pawn Thanks karl - I've tried those, and they seem to operate fine. This is a problem that seems to only affect cards from two specific banks, so usual tests don't really show anything wrong...

but sure, the specific banks might have problems or their 3D Secure servers are down or the customer is not set up with their bank correctly

it's unfortunately common

there's not much you or Stripe can do beyond asking them to contact their bank and try different cards
