The Payment Request Button does not support that. In fact it is deprecated so we don't encourage you using it today. However, Express Checkout Element (its replacement) does on certain browsers
You can support Apple Pay on non-Safari browsers on macOS (e.g. Chrome). Windows is not supported today

Open that in Chrome (on macOS), click Apple Pay and you'll see the QR dialog

The macOS guidance was spot on. I didn't realize there were differences between operating systems. I'm able to see it now on my Mac device!
