๐Ÿ‘‹ hi there, can you plese provide an example request ID where you're seeing this error message?

#

any related object IDs would also suffice

Thanks Janet

I did some digging and currently, there is no way for you to know if the charge is safe to retry. I'll pass on some product feedback about this

So would the current advice be to build out a flow for the customer, like:

  1. Go to link.com - look for something approving a charge from us
  2. Once done, come back here, and click this button to 'complete payment'

The latter of which triggers a payment intent be created to facilitate the retry?

Hey sorry for the wait taking over for Janet here

#

I think that would be a reasonable approach

#

With the exception that you don't need to create a new PaymentIntent - you can just try confirming the original again

oh gotcha, thanks. Do you suspect that a proper verification flow will be created akin to 3DS?

#

I'm not exactly sure what Link's verification flow is. Anecdotally, I do use Link as a consumer sometimes and I haven't seen this myself

Hence my hesitation to send our users to link.com on a wild goose chase.

Anyways, thanks for your help
