dusk cargo
#

๐Ÿ‘‹ happy to help

#

thanks same to you

#

are you creating Direct or Destination charges?

charred tangle
#

destination charge

dusk cargo
#

are you using the obo (on_behalf_of) parameter?

charred tangle
#

yes

dusk cargo
#

sorry just read

What are you working on?
Merchant platform that uses connect accounts with destination charges with 'on_behalf_of'

#

๐Ÿคฆ

charred tangle
#

this is the connect account ID that was used: acct_1TTASgPTIqwY5gLP

#

all good ๐Ÿ™‚

dusk cargo
#

do you have the PaymentIntent ID?

charred tangle
#

payment intent: pi_3TTAe4AXO48kdoI22NuLbhI0

dusk cargo
#

let me take a look

charred tangle
#

it shows the correct statement descriptor in the data of the payment intent

dusk cargo
#

yes that's correct

#

Some banks and card issuers show a friendly, human-readable merchant name (sometimes called a "soft descriptor" or "transaction descriptor") when displaying transactions to cardholders instead of displaying the statement descriptor.

#

Unfortunately banks and card issuers will sometimes display the wrong friendly name for some transactions.
e.g. the name of the connect platform being displayed instead of the connected merchant of record

#

in your case, it's neither

#

trying to figure out how that statement descriptor is created is going to be a bit tricky

#

but let me have another look

charred tangle
#

well, it shows as the following: Eftpos Loyalmate Pty Ltd Caulfield nor

#

the last part I understand is the legal business' suburb being truncated

dusk cargo
#

normally this is not something that we help with here on discord (not our strongest suite) and we send you to Stripe Support. but let me have another look and see if I can figure this out on my own

charred tangle
#

thanks

dusk cargo
#

maybe your bank is adding Eftpos prefix as an indicator on which card network this transaction went through

#

can you please try and contact your issuing bank and ask them about this?

charred tangle
#

Fair enough, that makes sense. How about the missing category part?

dusk cargo
#

I'm checking that as well

charred tangle
#

It's showing as Unknown Category

#

Thanks

dusk cargo
#

maybe your bank doesn't have a direct mapping of the 5734 mcc
