Hello! For the Payment Intent your shared, it looks like there was a cancelation requested by the customer: https://dashboard.stripe.com/acct_1RyeRLJb61fXCXsL/logs/req_eQc8c4huU8qnA5
The users claim it is failing automatically. The customer is standing at the rental counter. Should it be asking for pin on this credit card?
We will tryo to get more infromation from the rental counter once they get the customer gone.
I see that confirming the payment was successful: https://dashboard.stripe.com/acct_1RyeRLJb61fXCXsL/logs/req_N58g73kiKR2ELX
And the charge succeeded: https://dashboard.stripe.com/acct_1RyeRLJb61fXCXsL/events/evt_3TTRRcJb61fXCXsL1vwL8T2a
But then the payment was cancelled and the charge was refunded ๐ค
I'm not sure if the card required a pin but our logs show that it was accepted as a payment method.
You said this is a frequent issue, does it happen with all US issued cards?
If we find out otherwise I will ask again. These are non US issued cards. Anectdotal evidence from the field is it is "frequent" . We think this might be a ghost or operator error so I won't waste any more of your time. Thank your for the help. Have a great day.
Thank you and good luck investigating! One last note is that the charge.succeeded event I linked above shows read_method: "contact_emv" which indicates that the card was inserted and the chip was read.
