hey there! 👋 I don't think any parts of Stripe Identity (our verification API) support this type of phone number verification, but let me double check

yeah I'm afraid we don't offer a standalone API purely for handling SMS verification

Custom/Express account holders do go through SMS verification for identity verification during onboarding, but that's as part of the wider Connect onboarding process, rather than something you can use for your own phone number verification
