Are you asking about live mode? We only show the secret key once in live mode. After that, you're expected to roll the key.
You can copy it when you regenerate and paste it in a notepad or something to make sure copying from the dashboard is working.

Live mode yes. The app took the "public" key but the secret key has caused problems

You'd want to talk to the support team of the app you're trying to connect to. I've just tested this on my test account and I was able to copy paste key just fine.
It's possible that the app you're trying to connect to just does not allow pasting it
