๐Ÿ‘‹ Welcome to your new thread!

โฒ๏ธ We'll be here soon! Typically we respond in a few minutes, but sometimes we might take a bit longer if the server is busy or if you have a particularly tricky question.

โฑ๏ธ We close idle threads, which makes them read-only. Once a thread is closed it won't be reopened, but you can always start a new thread if you have another question.

๐Ÿ”— This thread will always be available, even after it's closed. You can find it again using Discord's search, or you can save this link: https://discord.com/channels/841573134531821608/1491577340914831492

๐Ÿ“ Have more to share? Add more details, code, screenshots, videos, etc. below.

Below are links to other discussions we've had with you in the past week in case you want to review that information. If your question is related to one of these previous discussions, please provide a comprehensive summary of the current state and what you need help with now. We help many users simultaneously, so a summary allows us to resolve your issue as soon as possible.

๐Ÿ‘‹ If you want to "escalate an issue" I recommend working with our support team instead: https://support.stripe.com/contact and providing all the details you have (OS version, Chrome version, how you configured ApplePay on it, what you see in the logs in the console of the browser, your exact IP address, a URL where you have a demo live to reproduce).
That way we can investigate async and help you debug this

Sure can you take a quick look?

My understanding is ApplePay on Chrome on Windows is not supported. The docs you link say

3 Apple Pay on desktop Chromium browsers is only supported on MacOS when paymentMethods.applePay is set to always.

Ooof

yeah I was a bit confused when you said Windows and don't have a machine to test and assumed you were already discussing this since you talked about an escalation and had multiple earlier threads

mossy quarry
#

That is a huge regression. Thanks for clarifying.

turbid creek
#

But my read is we never supported this. Are you saying Recurly has always supported this? Do you have docs?
Are windows users ever using Apple Pay in Chrome? I've never even heard of this being a thing

mossy quarry

Yup!

#

Apple Pay SDK added support for a QR code popup. We've been using it. You scan it with your iPhone.

turbid creek
#

Gotcha, so yeah it'd be a feature request.
Are you saying a large portion of your customer base did this?

mossy quarry
#

Yeah with Recurly you create your own button so we load the Apple Pay SDK.

#

I'll let everyone know it is a feature request.

We're still analyzing but the experiment is showing Stripe to be worse unfortunately compared to Recurly.

let us know when you have more details though so we can have a look
