hello! juggling a few things but will get back to you asap šŸ™

#

it's possible that there's just a lag on updating the status in real time, there are several processes that run in batches / queues on the stripe side that are pretty much un-noticeable when there's lag in the real world but feel a little odd when testing with test clocks

#

what happens if you just want for a minute or two rather than advancing the test clock, then retrieve the subscription status?

#

The status keeps the same, doesn’t update to Active actually, I tried to wait multiple hours (not intentionally actually hah)

#

lol kk

#

do you have to advance it a full day? what about an hour?

#

it would make sense if you had to advance it some amount of time

tranquil kestrel
#

Good question, I actually tried to advance it 1 hour and i believe it didn’t change the picture, but advancing to more hours - changed the status

#

Let me try to make it again

#

Interesting situation/bug detected now:

#

If I have brand new account and I advance subscription 1 month (subscription time) with failing/succeeding card - I can see additional invoice in Draft state which I believe is the invoice which is going to be issued next billling day.

#

But if I advance that account a couple of hours ahead, then advance it 1 billing period ahead, I don’t have that Draft invoice created, also after paying all the failed payments immediatley change from Past due to Active status…

ok sorry for being a little slow on this, busy morning in the server and i'm juggling a few threads

#

tranquil kestrel
#

Please postpone my questin, I think I found the issuse, wil update you asap, just a lot of things happening on dashboard, I’m sorry

#

Please don’t loose time on this one yet

naive pawn
#

oh hahaha, no worries! i'm curious though so if you figure it out please share

tranquil kestrel
#

Sure

#

Okay, the problem was actually myself, I was interpreting the ā€˜advance time for one billing period’ and ā€˜draft|unpaid’ payments wrongly - so it’s not a bug in the system. Just I was having wrong expectations which I defined but they were always wrong

#

So, after advancing to one billing period, the invoice is created. After that I need to advance 1 hour more to make this invoice automatically paid.

naive pawn
#

ahh yep that makes sense

tranquil kestrel
#

Sorry for wasting your time, don’t have questions at this point of time anymore

#

Thank you
