hi there, yes a Subscription can have multiple meters attached to it. Meters are associated with Price objects through this attribute, so you would just have multiple prices on the Subscription
Ok. Can meters/prices be added and removed as needed or does that have some possibility for unintended issues?
yes, you can add and remove them, but you will need to be mindful of prorations. we have docs on this for usage-based billing here: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/usage-based/manage-billing-setup#mid-cycle-updates
Good deal. Another layer - our main subscription is a yearly subscription. We charge overages monthly. Is there a way to set the meters on the annual subscription but charge them monthly or is the charging period handled by the subscription schedule?
I was thinking the invoice is managed by the subscription, but there are enough moving parts I'm not sure if I've missed anything.
it depends, but if you have an annual flat rate with monthly prices for your meters, you can use mixed-interval subscriptions as described here: https://docs.stripe.com/billing/subscriptions/mixed-interval
note that this requires your subscription to be in flexible billing mode
