I can share an example invoice in our production instance if you need it
Hi there - that would be fantastic
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
The initial API post log shows a "automatically_finalizes_at": 1774724417 value which is 3 days in the future but we definitely did not set this value in the params from our application.
Previous Invoice creations would also automatically set this value but it would only be 1 hour in the future so we're wonder what changed.
I think it is the introduction of grace periods. See this doc: https://docs.stripe.com/invoicing/scheduled-finalization#before-you-begin
Interesting. I did have a co-worker check the Settings > Billing > Invoice > Invoice finalization grace period rules for the same stripe instance and we only had the default of 1 hour configured.
that is on acct_1Cf8ReCx65IjJG44?
I believe so. My coworker checked each of our instances.
Unfortunately my user current doesn't have permissions to see these settings so I can't check myself.
π
i can't stay for long but i can confirm settings on that account
yes, that image is how account ...g44 looks right now
Whoa! I was looking though our list of all draft invoices to see when the changes started and it looks like all of the Scheduled finalization date values just CHANGED to approximately 1 hour from now.
πͺ
Did something get reverted?
@mint grove do you know if we have instances of this on any of our other prod accounts?
I know I have a counter example in the EU instance (as in it correctly set for 1 hour in the future). I think the initial examples I collected were all for the US instance. I will double check though
i scanned through our EU, CA, AU and US accounts. they seem good now
I think we broke something and fixed it
Yup. I only have references to examples in the US instance
Because I was testing ~2-3 minutes ago and getting the same behavior and now it works
Never a dull moment
π
do you know if this triggered an incident on your side? curious if we will get an email regarding impacted invoices
i feel like i saw an instance of this last week and i just charged it rather than investigate it like jeff did π
I've been looking for one but haven't found it yet
k, no worries, just curious
k, gotta go pick up the kids nice chatting with you all π
@wide jolt Is there any follow up we should have with this case? It appears to be resolved now but the instability concerns me.
Still looking to try to find anything around this but I can send you instructions to create a support case and we can let you know what we find out
