you mentioned a homescreen, so just want to confirm which Terminal reader you're using? are you using the S700/S710 model, or a different reader?

steep timber
#

s710

#

does this work for you or is the issue that you're stuck on the home screen when you try this?

steep timber
#

it's not reacting to anything we have just recieved it and are trying to get it set up

#

ok i now have access to setting

halcyon sage
#

I see. Have you tried to reboot the reader? If so, can you share the serial number?

#

oh great! if it's working now then I'd recommend following the steps in the Setup Reader link shared above

steep timber
#

ive registered the reader now how do i take payments

halcyon sage
#

the process of setting up a Terminal integration is fairly technical, as you need to connect the reader to your POS application, using the Stripe Terminal SDK

this guide is a good starting point: https://docs.stripe.com/terminal/overview

i have no idea where to start none of it makes sense

#

how do i get someone to code this for me

halcyon sage
#

that's totally understandable, Stripe Terminal isn't really an out-of-the-box product to immediately start accepting cards in person - it's more intended for merchants who have an existing custom POS system and want to connect it to Stripe

#

if you don't have a development team in place to set this up, we do partner with third-parties who provide similar services

#

I'd recommend taking a look at some of these options to see if they sound suitable for your needs
