it could be the case that Klarna is detecting and blocking your VPN, I can't really say
outside of the EU, offering klarna only works for customers in the same country as your account
do you have a test page i can access ot try myself?
the country is set to UK and the default currency is set to GBP

Sure, and Stripe is presenting Klarna in payment element presumably because your VPN puts you in a compatible country, then we redirect you to Klarna when that is required
correct, and once I land on the Klarna page I see the message I mentioned earlier
would a failed payment intent id help? It's a canceled Klarna payment
What test phone number are you using?
I don't even get to that point. As soon as I land on the Klarna page I see the message and the only other option is to return to my site

taking over for my colleague who had to step away
we were just discussing this case and unfortunately it seems like it comes down to that this is a Klarna side issue. We suspect that Klarna is able to identify the VPN and not consider the IP or uses other data to determine the user location. But that's outside of what we can see and investigate.
We would recommend reaching out to Klarna and ask there for clarification and guidance on how to test your scenario.
