๐ Happy to help!
yes please
Ah sorry, we don't know much about Stripe pricing and fees here.
We wish we could help, but you need to talk to Stripe support
We can only help on Discord if all of the following are true:
- ๐งโ๐ป You must be a developer
- ๐ ๏ธ Your question must be about building a Stripe integration
- โ๏ธ Your question must be technical/developer focused
- โฑ๏ธ You must be available to respond in realtime
- ๐ฅ You must be comfortable receiving help in public (this is a public server)
If any of those aren't true please contact Stripe support.
If all of those are true we may have misunderstood your question; please provide more details below.
Note that using an inappropriate button or submitting inappropriate information is a violation of our rules. You will be removed from this server if you repeatedly create invalid threads.
Thanks for the clarification.
I am a developer integrating Stripe Connect (destination charges) into our platform.
My question is technical and related to integration design. We need to determine the expected Stripe processing fee before creating or confirming the PaymentIntent, so we can include it in the total amount charged to the customer.
Specifically:
Is there any API or method to determine the exact Stripe fee before payment confirmation?
At what stage does Stripe classify a card as international, cross-border, or commercial?
Is the fee calculation only finalized after the charge succeeds and the Balance Transaction is created?
We are trying to understand whether it is technically possible to access or predict the final Stripe fee before charging the customer, so we can design our pricing logic correctly.
@junior shell are you there?

You can't predict the exact Stripe processing fees before the authentication.

No

Sorry again, not much knowledge about Stripe fees here. This channel is for technical integrations questions only
