It's the bank's decision to trigger SCA, so it's not something you can avoid
You can allow Stripe to automatically email the customer to complete SCA when this happen
Or you can use SetupIntents when you first ask the customer to add a payment method
For example, this email option under Settings > Billing > Subscriptions and emails: https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/subscriptions
