Interesting. Do you have any other subscriptions that this is happening for? I am curious if a console error is emitted.
Trying to reproduce this myself in test mode now.
i only tested this one subscription, but i think it occured from a different product as well

not sure why it didnt show up for me before
not sure if trial_end is part of the allowed flow paramters, let me double check
doestns eem like it, but if i end the trial before, it will bill them, and if they dont complete the flow then their trial status will be over

Still trying to figure this out. To be clear, are you saying that this update only errors when using a deep link? Like does the same update succeed if the customer is linked to the portal landing page and makes the update from there?
we dont allow for that, we would rather directly use deep links
but i can try setting up a billing config to test it

Are you able to reproduce this in test mode? Would give us a little more flexiblity to test/debug. I'll try and reproduce from my end as well but it sounds like my collegue was having trouble replicating this error.

Pompey was actually able to reproduce. Looks to be a bug that will require further investigation. I'm going to send you a Dm that will let you file a case with us so we can keep you updated on the progress of that investigation.
ok great! thanks, yeah we want to be able to offer one or two months extra on an annual subscription for certain promotions
but we cant do that if it blocks their ability to go to a higher tier
